Care Ministry
At RIO 180 we have adopted a strategy for caring for our families. We have assigned Care Ministry Leaders 3 to 5 families within our church to build relationships with. They meet once a month with the exceptions of Mid-Summer and November/December Holiday season with the purpose of providing a sense of belonging.
We invite you to become a part of one of our care groups. You can contact Pastor Brad at the church office at (865)-681-2763 or email to brad.bryant@rio-av.com.
Nursery
The nursery at RIO 180 is an exciting fun-filled time for our little ones. Infants, birth - 18 months, experience their own special time of praise and worship.
During this time the teacher helps them interact with the praise and worship music and singing by the young children.
Toddlers, 19 months - 3 years old, also have their own worship time as well as a bible lesson and snack time.
It is so awesome to see the youngest children in our church begin to take part in, and enjoy worshipping our Heavenly Father and to learn about His love for all of us.
Children's Church
180 Children's Church is for kids ages 4years to 5 th grade. The services are upbeat and lots of fun always learning about Jesus and what worship is all about. We want our kids at RIO 180 to feel freedom in their warship. In our services we have puppets, praise and worship, games, we teach about offerings, a message from the Word of God, and an altar service.
Once kids get into the 4 th grade, we let them take on some responsibility of being a worker. They can be praise leaders, help with sign in, or even be a friend to some of the younger kids. Our motto is, "Love'em like Jesus". That is what we want these kids to learn is that we should love people like Jesus would.
Once a month the kids are treated to a fun day with inflatable games, slushies, cotton candy, and popcorn. The drama and mime team will be starting back up soon. The kids have a lot going on in their lives, so much more than you probably had to deal with. So they need to be reached while they are young and teach them to serve others. We all must be servants and when the kids see us serving; what an example! Join us on Sunday mornings at 11am!
RIO 180 Youth Ministry
The future of our city, county, nation, and this world lies in the
church of today. The youth of today will be the workers, athletes,
celebrities and leaders of the upcoming generations. And one of the
youth of this generation will be President one day. The most powerful
person of the world is being molded, directed and guided today. The
question is who and what are they guided by? What matters most to them?
Is it their money, social status and power? Or do they realize that the
things of the earth are just things and that there is something greater
worth fighting for?
This world can be a very tempting place, especially when you see others
living by their own standards and trying to make you live by them too.
From friends and peers to coworkers and bosses and even people on TV,
the youth of today are being pulled in so many ways I can imagine that
it would be easy to be confused on which direction to take.
By giving the youth a safe place to worship, pray and learn the word of
God they develop a personal relationship with Christ. And from that
relationship they are able to hear from Him and let their steps be
directed by God through His word and their private prayer time. We are
led into praise and worship with a live youth led band and use
activities and youth involvement to bring the word of God into our
everyday lives.
Though they are part of a youth group, I feel that it is important that
the youth of today know their potential and understand that to God, they
are not just another body in the crowd of the billions of people that
inhabit the earth today. They are an individual person that God
designed and He has given a specific purpose on their lives. Everyone
has their own personal ministry. It can be the way that we talk to
someone, the way that we respond to stress and bad situations, or the
way that we live when we think nobody is looking. I often stress the
importance of Matthew 5:12-16 where Jesus is telling us to be the salt
and light of the earth. We are called to be examples to others in all
that we do. We have to remember that the Love of Christ that we display
might be the only glimpse of Christ that some will see.

Worship
At 180, we believe that a mighty move of God is always marked by a life-giving, free flow of worship, and that is what we are experiencing here every week.
Through a dynamic, cutting edge, modern sound, mixed with the unchanging spirit of the sovereign Lord that has reigned for all of time, we weekly press into the inner courts of our Lord. Our purpose in worship is first and foremost to glorify our Lord and King, and secondly to usher people into His presence so that they can experience his life-giving river.
There is a freedom that is unexplainable that flows within during our worship, and prepares the way for God's presence to work on our hearts for the entire service.
Led by Pastor Doug Bryant, we invite you to join us as we experience the power of God through ministering to His spirit by song, and worship of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Marriage 101
After every wedding comes a marriage. When you buy the marriage license at the courthouse they don't give you an instruction manual. They simply take your money and hand you a license. A surprising number of those couples represented by licenses purchased end up at the divorce counter not long afterwards. Christians have an instruction manual. It is called the Bible.
The things that seemed so simple when fantasizing about how great it will be to live together every single day for the rest of our lives suddenly become much more complex when we have to live it out. Did you understand that when he said, "I don't do laundry" that he meant I don't do laundry? Sometimes, he doesn't even make it to the hamper with his dirty clothes? Or maybe when she said, "I'm still learning how to cook," you didn't realize that dinner would be different than you were used to at Mama's house. The list includes anything that we personally don't like or what we didn't expect in our happily ever after.
Are you living up to your spouse's happily ever after dreams? Whatever you desire that others would do to and for you, even so do also to and for them, for this [sums up] the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12 (Amplified) . This is an example of the principle of sowing and reaping. Guess what, this same principle covers marriage relationships.
Please join us on Sunday mornings at 10am in our Marriage 101 Class.
Audio/Visual
Audio Visual at RIO 180 is more than graphics, computers and lights; it is a Ministry. This ministry could make the difference for a lost soul sitting in their chair with white knuckles. It could be the visual the Holy Ghost uses to urge that individual to the altar to ask God to deliver them.
Boys and Girls Club Wednesday
Wednesday nights are focused on ministering to each aspect of our families. Boys need men to mentor them and teach them the Word of God and to lead them into a growing relationship with Jesus. In the same way, girls need women also. Wednesday is a special day when boys are with boys and they do "boy" stuff. Girls are with girls and do "girl" stuff. From 4yrs old to 5 th grade all boys and girls are welcome to come and learn the Word of God.
